R&D SPECIALIST
QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Profile
New Product Development: Participate/manage new product development projects, collaborating with sales and marketing teams. Conducting experiments/trials. Establishing production specifications, packaging, labeling, and other functional materials. Validating new products performance through customer visits.
Product Support: Providing technical information to customers regarding welding processes and related consumables to ensure proper product usage.
Weld Test Lab Customer Test Requests: Managing and conducting mechanical and chemical tests as per welding industry standards to meet customer requirements.
Weld Test Lab Annual Product Approvals: Overseeing annual product approvals for welding consumables to ensure compliance with regulations.
Industry Technology Monitoring: Following up on sectoral developments, new technologies, and conducting competitor benchmarking.
Process Improvement: Contributing to production quality improvement projects including Lean 6 Sigma initiatives.
Raw Material Studies: Evaluating new suppliers, alternative raw materials and conducting production trials validate, supplier improvement for cost-saving opportunities.
R&D Collaboration: Collaborating with universities/labs for fundamental research studies.
Qualifications
- Having a bachelor's degree from universities engineering such as Metallurgical and Materials Engineering, Chemistry, or Chemical Engineering, master's degree has a significant advantage. Welding Engineering certificate is also valuable.

Knowledge or willingness to learn mechanical testing of materials, material characterization techniques (SEM, XRD), applied metallography, welding technology and welding consumables.

Excellent verbal and written communication in English.

Proficiency in MS Office applications is required, and familiarity or willingness to learn Minitab.

Good communication skills, teamwork, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities.
- Living/willing to live in Istanbul Anatolian Side, Gebze, or Kocaeli.
