QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Typical Responsibilities
· Performing and supporting mechanical maintenance activities and modifications of Power Plant equipments in the assigned task area
· Ensuring high availability of plant and plant components in the assigned task area
· Assistance in plant optimization measures in the assigned task area
· Ensuring and/or maintaining technical documentation and ensuring compliance with relevant statutory and corporate sets of rules
· Identifying the cause of malfunctions, developing and implementing remedial measures
· Carrying out performance tests, test runs, measurements and inspections
· Supporting the Operation department regarding the plant in the assigned task area
· In charge of resolving technical issues regarding maintenance and modification work
· Developing solution proposals, preparing planning documentation and tender specifications
· Timely ordering of experts and specialists
· Timely procurement of spare parts
· Coordinating work performed by internal and external staff
· Accepting work and services performed
· Documentation of requirements, permits and authority contacts; preparing reports
· Monitoring of equipment commissioning and decommissioning during power plant operation
· Planning of safety measures during outages
· Coordinating the work carried out by the workshop he is in charge of
Core Competencies
· Bachelor's Degree (equal or better) in mechanical engineering
· Minimum 5 years of maintenance experience in gas/coal fired power plant or petroleum industry
· Excellent capability of analytical thinking
· Excellent MS-Office/Basic SAP skills
· Very good command of written and spoken English
· Highly effective in engaging people, building effective teams and developing people
· Highly adaptive to an intercultural working environment
· Ability to effectively manage stress
· Open to take responsibility
