QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

The Arikan Group is an international group active in the sale of finished watches, jewelry, eyewear, and lifestyle accessories, trading since 1985 which operates out of facilities in Istanbul and Hong Kong.

The export division of Arikan Group deals with licensed brands such as LEE COOPER, SLAZENGER, and BHPC as well as their brands of QUANTUM & WAINER (Swiss-Made). These brands together have reached more than 50+ countries on 6 continents.

The Company is looking to further develop its competitive position internationally where it has seen rapid growth in the last ten years, and this appointment is key to continuing that success. This role will involve developing and managing the extensive network of distributors and retailers that have been built up, and the selection and onboarding of new partners.

Role Overview

To develop, manage, and control a portfolio of international territories and customers/distributors, to achieve or exceed agreed sales and profit budgets in line with company objectives, and to sell all ranges to existing customers, and develop new customers.

In addition to the above, work closely with the Management and Marketing teams to develop Arikan Group as the market-leading brand for each customer and territory within all categories of products.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

  • Maintain and develop existing and new customers through appropriate propositions and other sales methods to optimize quality of service, business growth, and customer satisfaction,
  • Plan and manage personal business portfolio and accounts according to an agreed development strategy,
  • Plan and prioritize personal sales activities, journey plan, and customer/prospect contact effectively, and report on the actual activity as required,
  • Work closely with the Arikan Group senior sales team and coordinate sales and promotional activities,
  • Developing and implementing a comprehensive e-commerce strategy that aligns with the company's goals and objectives,
  • Utilise available tools and internal knowledge to maximize customer and prospect contact and business development opportunities within new markets,
  • Assist in the preparation of business plans to develop each territory to its maximum potential and conduct regular reviews,
  • Work effectively and monitor weekly agents, distributors, and retailers in each territory depending upon the agreed strategy for each region,
  • Provide accurate forecasts for designated territories and assist in the annual and monthly budgeting process as required,
  • Maintain accurate records through the company system and relevant information relating to customer meetings, distributor activities and prospect’s activities,
  • Ensure excellent product knowledge and the ability to describe benefits to customers and prospects,
  • Support sales and marketing activities as required and integrate personal sales efforts with other organized activities such as product launches, promotions, advertising, exhibitions, etc.,
  • Maintain a good awareness of market and competitor activities and report as necessary,
  • Build strong internal and external relationships, requesting and also aiding as required,
  • Produce presentations and information portfolios in line with the requirements of our customers and prospects, particularly in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel,
  • Attend and present competently at external customer meetings and internal meetings with key team members of other departments,
  • Attend international and local trade shows as required, especially in Hong Kong,
  • Ensure all distributor and retailer agreements are up to date, targets have been renewed and brand guidelines are adhered to in each region.

Key Knowledge and Skills

  • University degree in Business Administration or International Trade departments are preferred,
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English
  • French as a second language is preferred
  • Relevant experience in Watches, Eyewear, or other Consumer Product sectors
  • Not less than 5 years of experience in sales,
  • Having knowledge of export business processes and foreign trade legislation,
  • Experienced in international market research,
  • Proficient in MS Office/Outlook and CRM experience in programs such as Zoho & Canias
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills at all levels are essential,
  • Passion for results and target-driven,
  • Experience working in a highly competitive, dynamic marketplace,
  • Having no obstacles to travel abroad.
