QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Main purpose of the job :
•Promote safety culture.
•Optimise continuously the overall Plant production plans to guarantee customer service while facilitating efficient manufacturing operations, taking into account internal and external constraints and profitability targets (cost & working capital).
•Integrate production plans for new programs into running business to guarantee a flawless launch of new programs while respecting customer service levels.
•Ensure the correct use of the Plant ERP system in terms of production planning.
•Track production planning performance metrics.
Responsibilities :
•Ensure that all safety policies are understood and respected and promote a safety-first climate.
•Establish a robust production planning process (man / machine), leading S&OP and MPS, to meet customer requirements while profitability targets and manufacturing efficiencies are met:
Champion the demand management process prior to loading demand for S&OP and MPS.
Assess capacity (man / machine), develop and review contingency plans to mitigate risks.
Control the production plan execution (adherence to plan) and support production management in case of deviations or delay.
Communicate to all stakeholders the output of MPS as well as any adjustment to the planning.
•Plan inventories according to requirements (meeting customer service and inventory targets), pay special attention to phase-outs in order to avoid obsolescence and effectively manage accurate cut-in dates resulting from engineering changes, product transfers, as well as end of production (EOP) and end of life (EOL) activities.
•Before SOP of new products /customers / processes, check the required equipment capacity and plan the production for all trials while limiting the impact on the current serial production and respecting customer delivery performance.
•Safeguard the correct use of the existing Plant ERP system in terms of production planning, both for running programs and new project launches.
•Measure and review at pre-defined time intervals a set of production planning performance metrics, report to the Supply Chain Manager and act upon negative target deviation.
•Participate actively to the S&OP process and lead the weekly MPS meeting.
•Contribute to the TPM Supply Chain pillar (and/or to others): participate to workshops, kaizen …
Skills & Experience:

•Very good working knowledge about planning business processes (S&OP, MPS, MRP), demand management, capacity management, inventory management and stock control, supply chain management and/or other manufacturing / planning processes.
•Literacy with ERP system(s), SAP is a plus.
•Insight in lean principles.
•Education: Professional Bachelor minimum required, and preferably a University Degree (Master), in a Business Management, Engineering or Technical discipline.
•A minimum of 5 years relevant Supply Chain experience (Planning, Supply Chain, Manufacturing), preferably in the Automotive Industry.
•Experience in the implementation, development or execution of business planning and control systems.
