QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a "Senior Logistics Engineer" in accordance with the general qualifications and job description specified below to be assigned within the "Logistics and Planning Department" of our company, which is a global automotive supplier with 100% Japanese capital, located in Kocaeli Kartepe, producing fuel and power steering hoses and air conditioning systems.
· Graduated from engineering departments of universities,
· At least 5 years of experience in material planning and logistics process management in the automotive industry,
· Knowledge of Milkrun, shipping, customer portal usage and customs legislation,
· Proficiency in Ms-Office programs and experience in using As400 or other ERP software,
· Having a lean production philosophy and experience in these activities,
· Having knowledge about problem solving techniques and using them effectively,
· Have analytical thinking skills,
· Participated in activities regarding the improvement and correct management of supply chain management,
· Advanced planning and organizational skills,
· Ability to use initiative and produce solutions,
· Experience working with a team
· Very good command of English ,
Job description
· Managing the tracking and shipment of customer orders,
· To manage the necessary shipping activities by working in coordination with the shipping warehouse,
· Customer portal, reconciliation applications, packaging management, etc. to carry out activities,
· Ensuring that if there is a document deficiency, it is completed, if there is a document inaccuracy, it is corrected and sent to the relevant units on time,
· Following up and managing the materials to be sent abroad with other relevant departments,
· To follow and report indicators such as shipment performance of the following customers,
· Managing possible deviations both systematically and physically with other units,
· Being in communication with transportation companies abroad. To obtain and compare prices for freight and to organize/make and control material purchasing,
· Engaging in commissioning activities for new projects and new parts, ensuring that materials are supplied on time and completely according to project plans,
· Taking an active role in engineering changes, preventing the formation of idle stock by taking measures to ensure that no idle materials remain,
· To ensure the necessary coordination by acting as a bridge between the production planning team and customer demands,
· Creating/publishing daily, weekly, monthly reports and analyzes based on the activities within the processes,
