QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Borusan EnBW Energy JV is looking for “Site Electrical Engineer” who work for construction works in a Wind Power Plant project in Çorlu/Tekirdağ.
(Fixed term contracted)
QUALIFICATIONS
- BSc degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ years’ site experience in similar role
- Knowledge of electrical engineering design principles, applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
- Knowledge of local engineering /construction code and regulations – particularly for medium voltage, low voltage AC/DC cabling, CCTV and outdoor lighting systems.
- Knowledge or interest on Renewable (Solar and Wind) Energy and technology trends.
- Knowledge of construction and constructability practices and principles.
- Knowledge of MS Office applications, CAD Software (Autocad) and their use.
- Strong communication skills
- Strong teamwork capability within multidisciplinary and multicultural team
- Open to learn, ready to change and suitable our working culture, quality oriented.
- Ability to plan, schedule, coordinate and problem solving
- Experience with quality engineering
- Experience in designing and/or construction of Wind Power Plant infrastructure and/or medium voltage distribution systems are advantages
- Ready to move to and live in Çorlu/Tekirdağ during the employment period and drive to site daily.
- Knowledge of electrical engineering design principles, applicable design guides and standards related to assigned engineering discipline.
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Provision for input information to daily/weekly/monthly reports
- Preparation of NCR and following up the mitigations.
- Proposing corrective and preventing actions
- Checking contractors’ estimate reports are in accordance with the progress and contract requirements.
- Conducting inspections to ensure contract specifications, standard requirements and best market practices are met. Inspecting contractors’ site activities such as:
- PV Module erection
- 36kV and low voltage AC/DC cabling and cable trench
- SCADA system
- Erection, testing and commissioning of transformers, inverters and 36kV cubicleso, 154kV overhead lines, CCTV and outdoor lighting system.
- Cable terminations of all voltage levels
- Erection and commissioning of 36kV cubicles in the substations
- Ensuring site activities undertaken with necessary Safety precautions.
- Material inspection during receipt on site
- Other necessary system related activities.
- Conducting contractor audits if construction documentation is up to date.
- Collecting and archiving quality documentation such as check list, NCRs, receipt reports, site test reports
- Coordination with site representatives of contractors’ representatives and Borusan site management and Borusan headquarters’ engineering departments.
- Ensure that project documentation is up to date (construction documents and as-built documentation)
- Time schedule follow-ups and reporting progress and providing expediting opportunities when necessary.
- Participation and/or leading HSE walkdowns
- Participating “snag list” preparations and follow-up correction activities
