QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
The Production Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the production floor, ensuring efficient and safe manufacturing processes. S/He are responsible for managing resources, maintaining quality standards, leading production teams, and resolving any issues that may arise during the production process.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee production activities to meet production targets and deadlines
- Monitor production processes to ensure efficiency, productivity, and adherence to quality standards
- Implement and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for production activities
- Schedule and allocate manpower, equipment, and materials effectively to optimize production processes
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to identify and resolve quality issues
- Lead and supervise production teams, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure optimal performance
- Enforce safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all employees
- Analyze root causes of problems and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and optimize production processes
- Collaborate with maintenance, engineering, and other relevant departments to resolve technical issues
- Maintain accurate production records, including production reports, inventory records, and shift logs
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as production output, efficiency, and quality metrics
- Coordinate with other operation departments
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Preferable Food Engineering)
- Minimum 5 year of experience in food industry
- Advanced level in English
- Strong knowledge on food safety & food technology standards
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire teams to achieve goals
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills
- Knowledge of production processes, equipment, and quality management systems
- Familiarity with safety regulations and best practices in manufacturing
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Proficiency in computer applications such as MS Office and production management software
