Role Overview:
As an Accounting Officer at Typhoon Roasters, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial integrity and compliance of our operations. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of accounting functions, from daily transactional oversight to strategic financial reporting.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or related field from a reputable university
- Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, demonstrating comprehensive knowledge and proficiency
- Fluent in English, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting
- CPA certification is mandatory
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, with a focus on advanced Excel skills
- Prior experience with Mikro software is highly preferred
- Thorough understanding of the uniform chart of accounts, coupled with a minimum of 3 years' experience in receivables and payables accounting
- Strong command of tax, SSI, E-Invoice, E-Ledger, and E-Archive legislation
- Comprehensive knowledge of general accounting principles, tax legislation, and financial reporting standards
- Exceptional analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present financial data accurately
- Results-driven mindset, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and time management
- Male candidates must have fulfilled military service obligations
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily accounting operations, providing guidance and support as needed
- Maintain accurate records of daily purchase and sale transactions, ensuring reconciliation of current accounts
- Conduct regular reconciliations of bank transactions and monitor current account balances
- Manage customer and supplier contracts, ensuring proper documentation and filing procedures
- Prepare financial statements and reports in compliance with regulatory requirements
- Stay abreast of updates and changes in relevant legislation, adapting practices accordingly
- Coordinate payroll processes, including wage accruals and SSI declarations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
- Actively monitor SSI and labor legislation, identifying opportunities for incentives and taxation benefits within the Free Zone
