QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Kargisan is looking for a Foreign Trade Operations Responsible for its head office located in Istanbul.
The qualifications and requirements that a candidate must carry for this position are;

· Minimum three years’ experience in Foreign Trade, especially import transactions and logistics organisations or similar field of work within the apparel industry.

· Self-motivated, detail & result oriented with strong planning and organizational skills

· Having a good command of Custom legislation and daily operations

· Good command of English

· Good command of using MS Office

· Having knowledge of International Payment Conditions and also be aware of Incoterms

· Complying with flexible working hours,

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Coordinating the logistics chain of materials purchased internationally and following the importation process.

It is being responsible for communicating with related departments.

Assist the Import and Purchasing Specialist with the feedback and reports.

Support the domestic purchasing operations and logistics.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Purchasing organizations;

· Liaising with internal project teams and maintaining strong supplier relations.

· Preparing and issuing purchase orders and agreements

· Monitoring supplier performance and resolving issues and concerns.

· Having full knowledge of delivery and payment terms to manage the process.

· Being responsible for payment transactions according to contracts.

· To plan and execute purchasing and customs operations in line with customer delivery dates

· To carry out overseas purchasing operations by getting involved in the correspondence with the suppliers.

  • Quotation;

· To make import and export pre-quotations and ensure these are maintained

· Being responsible for negotiations with the forwarders for planned deliveries.

  • Logistics organizations;

· Contacting the suppliers and providing a whole set of shipping docs before planned ex-dates.

· Following up on the importation process from beginning to delivery to the warehouse.

· Being responsible for loading all necessary documents to share folders.

· Try to choose forwarders that provide a range of services as that will create scope to stick with them in the long term, and help will be at hand whenever needed

  • Import and Export transactions;

· To carry import and export operations for foreign trade in accordance with company regulations

· To apply related regulations for domestic and international customs clearance processes

· To follow changes and update the legislation and procedures and update related departments

· To follow up on temporary admission regulations

· To follow up the inward processing procedure (IPP)

· To plan and execute purchasing and customs operations in line with customer delivery dates

  • Invoicing;

· Responsible for issuing and following up on invoicing to the suppliers and customers.

· Systematic entries of invoices. Creation of foreign trade records on ERP.
