Key accountabilities
- Always ensures the delivery of exceptional guest service, providing friendly, yet discreet and unobtrusive service in: Greeting, seating and waiting on all guests.
- Handles, or relays to related F&B Outlet Manager, all guest and internal customer complaints, and inquiries in a courteous and efficient manner, following through to make sure problems are resolved satisfactorily.
- Understands and accurately follows the standard of sequence of service, pre-service and after-service procedures.
- Understands all food and beverage items ordered, including ingredients, methods of preparation and proper service.
- Exceeds guest expectations with service, in keeping with the Peninsula Service Principles, focusing on the core principles. Looks for improvement for better service standard with a general theme of anticipating the guests' needs.
- Assists respective F&B Outlet Manager to have all the staff actively follows the HACCP standards, participates in the preservation of the environment and reuse, recycle or reduce whenever possible.
- Assists respective F&B Outlet Manager to ensure productivity levels are concurrently met and understands the need to prudently manage utility/payroll costs within stipulated budgetary requirements.
- All-encompassing food and beverage knowledge, excellent organizational skills, and time management.
- A high-level understanding of the Istanbul market, and experience in high luxury casual dining.
- Knowledgeable in Microsoft Excel and Word.
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Food & Beverage outlet with similar standards and expectations (Hotel based or Standalone).
- Leadership experience in complex operation in big scale restaurant with large team.
- Caring for team and guests and excellent communication skills. Good collaboration skills with others.
- Able to train and motivate team to deliver exceptional service encounters.
