Role Description
- Responsible for material, in-process and final shipment quality control according to IMPACTIVA’s Inspection Manual.
- Must be capable of learning and executing on a day-to-day basis very rigorous processes and procedures.
- Responsible for generating his/her own inspection reports using a laptop.
- Responsible for maintaining a good working relationship with all customer and shoe factory personnel (including top management and the owners) and fellow TM’s (Team Members).
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of experience in the footwear industry including strong exposures to:
- Different shoe construction types
- Different leather types
- Operation sequence of upper making and full shoe
- Last measurement
- Sample inspection and final approval
- Material quality control
- (Soles, components, accessories and non-leather materials in upper making)
- Cutting die and pre-production
- Full shoe physical and chemical testing requirements
- AQL (Accepted Quality Level) sample plans
- Final shipment inspection and manual test
- Full shoe understanding (from shoe making technical skills to defects’ classification) including finishing and problem solving skills
- Footwear factory work experience
- Final quality control inspection
- Ability to identify esthetic, fitting, functionality and finishing
- English proficiency (written and spoken)
- People skills (ability to influence factory leadership via creating positive relationships)
- Risk analysis and decision making skills
- Ability to coach technicians
- Computer proficiency (Windows, Outlook, Word, Excel).
