QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Minimum 2 years DBA or equivalent technology consultant job experience preferred
  • Hands-on experience in basic DBA tasks:
  • Database installations, replication, backups, loads, and schema alterations for both production and test databases,
  • Troubleshoot or configure the database issues,
  • Monitor database performance to ensure high levels of performance,
  • Good understanding of JSON data representation,
  • Experience of MSSQL Clusters and Always On Architecture (MAA),
  • Experience on PostGreSQL will be an asset,
  • Specific hands on experience include administering large and complex Databases, Database Design, Normalization, Replication, Log Shipping, Full text indexing,
  • Proficient with one or more NoSQL databases such as MongoDB , ElasticSearch,
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as DynaTrace, AppDynamics, Idera, Prometheus etc.,
  • Good understanding and hands on experience of Linux/Unix platform,
  • Good understanding of docker technology and containers is a plus,
  • Strong aptitude for learning new technologies and methodologies,
  • Adaptive, responsive for on-demand changes,
  • Dedicated, working hard to finish tasks on-time with high quality,
  • Good communication skills and good knowledge of English.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for MSSQL Database installation, patching, reporting, administration, troubleshooting, and performance tuning in separate platforms,
  • Maintaining current set up including optimisation and exceeding industry best practise,
  • Design and implementation of new services within the database design,
  • Experience working with very large data set,
  • Have a good level of understanding and writing skill in English language,
  • Have a strong leadership and motivational skills, interpersonal skills, good written and verbal communication skills, decision-making and analytical skills,
  • A good team player, solution focuesed, open to new innovations,
  • Military service should be completed for male candidates or postponed at least two years.
