Corporate Senior Legal Counsel
Responsibilities:
- Provides expert legal guidance and support to corporate executives on a range of legal matters, including strategic initiatives and corporate compliance.
- Drafts, reviews, and negotiates a variety of corporate agreements such as contracts, merger and acquisition documents, and governance policies.
- Advises on legal risks, business strategies, and compliance issues related to corporate operations and transactions.
- Ensures ongoing compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards affecting the company.
- Manages and coordinates with external legal counsel for specialized legal matters or litigation.
- Collaborates with internal teams to devise legal strategies that support business goals while minimizing legal risks.
- Conducts thorough legal research and analysis to inform corporate decision-making and strategy.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Law
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in corporate law, focusing on transactions, commercial contracts, and corporate governance.
- Profound knowledge of securities regulations, corporate governance principles, and commercial law.
- Exceptional communication skills, capable of discussing complex legal issues in accessible language.
- Proactive and strategic mindset, with foresight into potential legal issues and solutions.
- Demonstrated leadership and project management skills, adept at handling multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Prior experience in a corporate legal department or law firm with a specialization in corporate law.
- Fluent in English; additional language skills are beneficial.
