About the job
Key Responsibilities
- Review, monitor and evaluate all technical improvement activities in packaging industry.
- Supporting all product and packaging projects in accordance with the company’s strategy.
- Searching the innovations, opportunities, patent applications and improving areas in packaging industry
- Having a scientific approach, work in an agile, entrepreneurial way of creating designs to bring new products and product technologies to company.
- Carrying out R&D Center and TUBITAK supported projects and preparing scientific articles to publish in science magazines.
- Taking the necessary actions to prepare R&D Center activity reports,
- Collaborate with technical authorities for R&D projects
- Simultaneously lead multiple projects with complex scopes, demonstrating exceptional project management skills.
- Collaborating with other internal departments such as Marketing, Sales, Purchasing, Production, etc. to study new projects and develop the team accordingly.
- Manage end-to-end development project lifecycle, from initiation to closure, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met,
- Manage technical timelines, communicate effectively, identify and address issues and risks, and develop contingency plans.
- Using multidisciplinary engineering knowledge to design and develop innovative products in support of company’s strategic plan.
- Understand customer requirements and testing procedures to develop new projects and design new products
- Generate new products ideas based on raw material technology in the current Marketplace and Researching
- Analyzing the product for performance
- Conduct/follow up lab tests, pilot plant trials, and large-scale tests to optimize packaging performance within manufacturing facilities
- Creating quality-control spects, and information necessary for labeling on SAP for the newly developed products
- Leading quality improvement and cost reduction projects, Performing cost reducing work on existing products
- Maintain clear and comprehensive technical documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or MS degree in Engineering Departments from reputable universities
- 7+ years of R&D experience preferably in packaging and/or plastic industry
- Strong background in plastics and injection molding, design principles, and manufacturing processes,
- Excellent verbal and written English skills,
- Good oral and written communication skills
- Ability to lead team-building initiatives
- Proactive and creative in development of new product
- Experienced in intellectual property
- Good knowledge of MS Office programs.
- Good knowledge of ERP systems (Preferably SAP)
- Good knowledge of CAD software (Preferably Solidworks)
- R&D Center experience,
- Strong leadership, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work on cross-functional teams
- No restrictions to travel,
