General Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field
- Proven experience in export operations or logistics
- Strong understanding of international trade regulations and customs procedures
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Proficiency in relevant software and tools for export documentation and logistics management
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of Incoterms and export compliance requirements
- Certification in Export Compliance (e.g., Certified Export Specialist) is a plus
Job Description
The Export Operation Specialist will be responsible for:
- Coordinating and managing all aspects of export and import operations, including documentation, shipping, and customs clearance
- Ensuring compliance with international trade regulations and export control laws
- Communicating with freight forwarders, carriers, and customs brokers to arrange shipments and resolve any issues
- Preparing and reviewing export documentation such as commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin and bill of lading
- Managing letter of credit operations
- Managing export logistics, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Collaborating with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate processing of export orders
- Monitoring and optimizing export processes to improve efficiency and reduce costs
- Providing guidance and support to sales and customer service teams on export-related inquiries
- Staying updated on changes in export regulations and trade agreements
- Participating in internal and external audits related to export operations
