Job Description:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Ethical Trade Assistant Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in ethical sourcing, supply chain management, and corporate social responsibility. This individual will play a key role in supporting the development, implementation, and monitoring of our ethical trade policies and programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assisting in the development and implementation of ethical trade policies and procedures.
- Providing training/seminar and support to internal stakeholders on ethical trade principles and practices.
- Monitoring and evaluating supplier performance against ethical trade criteria and targets.
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and innovation in ethical trade initiatives.
- Ensuring that the new supplier/factory onboarding/induction process is followed.
- Carrying out COP audits in Turkey & Near East Region in line with COP Principle Standards and Auditing Standards, producing audit reports, and distributing them to relevant parties by timelines.
- Planning and organizing audits in the designated region.
- Preparing and reviewing country based risk assessments before planning an audit to a factory in the Near East Region.
- Budget planning and implementation for traveling locally or internationally.
- Playing an active role in the projects in which NEXT is involved and being in contact with all stakeholders.
Qualifications:
- Fluent in English & Turkish.
- Minimum 3 - 5 years of work experience in ethical trade, corporate social responsibility, or related fields.
- Bachelor's Degree (University degree in Industrial/Environmental/Management/Civil Engineering/Business Administration/Economy, Law, Public Policy).
- A working knowledge of Labour Laws/Environmental Laws and Legislations.
- Proactive and able to demonstrate the ability to recognize issues and manage them work and can prioritize multiple tasks.
- Proven track record of effective decision-making and demonstrable strong negotiation skills.
- Experience in conducting supplier assessments, audits, and monitoring activities.
- Experience with overseas audits.
- Experience with local and overseas travel.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional environment, team player.
- Has previously operated and maintained a budget.
- Able to demonstrate communication skills.
- Active driver.
