QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Koç University will be hiring a Global Education Programs and Projects Assistant Specialist / on a fixed-term contract for 1 year with a possibility of extension, for the Office of International Programs with the following qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university and a master’s degree is a plus
- Minimum 3-4 years of previous work experience
- Excellent verbal and written English and Turkish skills
- Experience in running and delivering successful learning and innovation programs as an external consultant or in-house is preferred
- Previous experience in budget management is a must
- Having previous work experience in an international environment is a plus
- Previous experience with project management and event planning is necessary
- Demonstrated skills in topics such as sustainability, social innovation, 21st century skills, new generation leadership, etc.
- Ability to work in a complex, fast-paced environment, handle a large workload, and multiple priorities
- Ability in multitasking, prioritizing and organization
- Interpersonal skills, punctuality, strong work ethics and excellent time management skills, adherence to deadlines
- Competence in learning design methodologies, innovation and facilitation skills
- Being passionate about human interaction, empathy, and non-violent communication
- Eagerness to learn new trends and constantly research new best practices
- Multicultural competencies: ability to work with diverse populations
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite is a must
- Working knowledge of Canva is a plus
- Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
- Able to create content for and manage social media
- No military obligation for male candidates
JOB DESCRIPTION
- Collaborating with the International Projects and Education Programs team, defining the yearly strategy and the content of OIP’s international learning programs & projects
- Managing and running activities throughout the academic calendar in collaboration with parties within the university and in the ecosystem
- Designing and constantly developing the content of international learning programs & projects
- Managing the administrative parts of learning programs / projects (i.e. logistical arrangements, budget management, reporting etc.)
- The monitoring of the processes of students involved in international learning programs, conducting one-on-one meetings with students, organizing events for students, etc.
- Taking part in the organization of the various types of special education programs such as custom-made programs, short-term international programs, joint short-term programs, etc., with partner institutions
- Creating and following up on learning programs’ annual budget
- International project development
- Assisting in finding partners for university and private sector collaborated social innovation projects
- Involving Koç University in international projects that are run by international partners & running administrative aspects of these projects (i.e. logistical arrangements, budget management, reporting etc.)
- Conducting other tasks and preparing reports as seen appropriate by the unit manager / team leader
