QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
As Wehire team, we are looking for a Design & Application Engineer for our customer working on industrial sealing in Tuzla, Istanbul.
General Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, Industrial Design Engineering or related field
- Experienced in design & application engineering min. 3 years
- Knowledge in Solided, Autocad and Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of German and English is essential
- Excellent in communication and persuasion
- Strong in working in global team with different cultural backgrounds
Job Description
The responsibilities of a design & application engineer include, but are not limited to:
- Support Sales and Application Engineering,
- Support pre-studies and target client selection process to finally help the team to define target leads,
- Support sales and application engineering for client discussions and presentations,
- Feasibility study / value proposition,
- Feasibility study – suitability of machine for upgrading to DGS,
- Determine DGS arrangement options, that are viable (works with application engineer), especially for non-standard solutions,
- Maintains library / reference list of machine makes, models, upgrade options / concepts,
- Prepares draft seal proposal general arrangement drawings,
- Collaborates with vendors for associated scope (Rotor dynamic Analysis, Control Software Update, mechanical work) to perform feasibility risk assessment and mitigation plan,
- Produces draft PID and EL and other supporting engineering documents required for clarification,
- Budget / firm inquiry,
- Produces or updates proposal general arrangement drawings; proof of concept,
- Collaborates with vendors for associated scope,
- Builds up reliable partnerships with key partners, e.g. to perform RDA assessment according to mitigation / project plan,
- Updates PID and EL; works with EB global AVL vendors.
