QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION
Çayeli Bakır İşletmeleri A.Ş. (CBI) is owned by First Quantum Minerals Ltd. which is an established and rapidly growing mining and metals company .CBI is an underground mine and produces copper and zinc in Madenli, Çayeli in the Province of Rize on the eastern Black Sea coast. During the life of the operation, CBI has continuously looked for opportunities to enhance its reputation and performance through the application of leading international practice in all areas of its business. CBI is sensitive to the environment, respectful to the local people and one of the leading enterprises in terms of its technical infrastructure in the Turkish mining sector.
We are looking for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer who will be reporting to the Surface Maintenance Supervisor.
Key responsibilities include:
· Supervising shift maintenance work in the surface mechanical workshop.
· Responsible for completion of daily and weekly plans, and all other tasks on time, with high quality.
· Presenting the maintenance activity report to the workshop supervisor, both verbally and in writing, at the end of shift.
· Ensuring the execution of maintenance activities in compliance with ÇBİ occupational health and safety rules, and ensuring that the team works in accordance with these rules.
· Coordinating and organizing the underground maintenance team's deployment as required.
The ideal candidate is required to have the following:
· University degree in Mechanical Engineering.
· Preferably three years of experience in underground mining mobile machinery maintenance and repair.
· Knowledge and experience with tools, equipment, and materials used in a mechanical workshop.
· Proficiency in reading and interpreting mechanical drawings.
· Basic knowledge of hydraulics.
· Knowledge and experience in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of heavy machines.
· Open to new technologies and innovations.
· Desire and ability for continuous self-improvement.
· Knowledge of MS Office programs.
· Quick and effective response in emergency situations.
· Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues and other teams.
· Having a Class-B driving license and being an active driver.
· Military service completion is a requirement for male candidates.
