QUALIFICATIONS AND JOB DESCRIPTION

Summa Group is a dynamic and diversified international group of companies of which operationally spread to 4 continents and 11 countries since 1989. As an international contractor, Summa is declared as the 123rd largest company in the world in the field of international construction contracting by ENR. We are looking for Sustainability Executive at Head Office in Istanbul.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in environmental science, sustainability, business, or a related field. A master's degree in sustainability or a related discipline is preferred,
• Several years of experience in sustainability-related roles, with a track record of progressively increasing responsibilities,
• Experience in developing and implementing sustainability strategies within organizations,
• Deep understanding of sustainability principles, concepts, and best practices,
• Familiarity with relevant environmental laws, regulations, and standards,
• Strong analytical skills to assess data, identify trends, and measure the impact of sustainability initiatives,
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Programs,
• Excellent command of English, both written and orally,
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports, engaging with stakeholders, and presenting information to diverse audiences,
• Project management skills to plan, implement, and oversee sustainability initiatives,
• Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders,
• Ability to think creatively and strategically to identify and implement innovative sustainability solutions,
• Relevant certifications such as Certified Sustainability Professional (CSP) or equivalent may be preferred,
• A genuine passion for sustainability and a commitment to advancing environmental and social responsibility within the organization,
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Develop and implement sustainability strategies and initiatives aligned with the organization's goals and values,
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to integrate sustainability into overall business strategies,
• Collect, analyze, and report on sustainability metrics, tracking the organization's performance against environmental, social, and governance (ESG) goals,
• Prepare regular sustainability reports for internal and external stakeholders,
• Stay abreast of environmental laws, regulations, and standards to ensure the organization's compliance,
• Implement and manage programs to address and mitigate regulatory risks,
• Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including employees, customers, suppliers, and communities, to build awareness and support for sustainability initiatives,
• Foster partnerships and collaborations to enhance sustainability efforts,
• Identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency, reduce environmental impact, and promote sustainable practices within the organization,
• Implement and monitor programs related to energy efficiency, waste reduction, and water conservation,
• Develop and deliver training programs to educate employees on sustainability goals and practices,
• Foster a culture of sustainability within the organization,
• Stay informed about emerging trends and best practices in sustainability.
